New Hobby Series Multitools and Glue Gun from Dremel

Dremel is now offering a new product series for hobbyists and creative do-it-yourselfers: the Glue Gun Hobby Edition with its new glitter glue sticks is particularly suitable for decorating gifts and ornaments – but it can still be used for small repair jobs around the house, too. A "Hobby Edition" of the Dremel Stylus Cordless Multitool will also be available from October 2008 onwards. It contains more accessories for creative handicraft projects and a new metal box, which offers space for small work materials. The Dremel 300 Multitool will be available in two versions as part of a Christmas promotion until the end of December 2008: a Dremel 300 Hobby Edition in a practical zipper bag and a Dremel "Treasure Hunt" tool case with many accessories.

Glue gun for hobby projects
The Dremel Glue Gun Hobby Edition contains six transparent glue sticks, and also twelve colored glitter glue sticks in red, blue, silver, gold, green and purple. So the glue not only fixes objects as required, it is also a decorative highlight. This means creative hobbyists can use the glue gun to apply a glitter finish to, for example, gifts, Christmas tree balls or greeting cards.

Moreover, the Dremel Glue Gun is a practical assistant for many DIY tasks around the house, be it fixing cables or repairing doll furniture. There are three different sizes of tips for various applications, which enable the user to control the amount of glue applied. The glue gun has two different temperature settings of 120°C and 195°C, making it suitable for different materials. The anti drip tip prevents glue from dripping onto the workpiece. The glue gun is conveniently stood on its foot and base during work breaks.

The Glue Gun Hobby Edition will be available at retail outlets from September 2008 onwards for 26.99 euros including VAT. The refill pack with twelve colored glitter glue sticks costs 4.99 euros including VAT (recommended retail price).

Dremel Stylus Multitool Hobby Edition
The new Dremel Stylus from the Hobby series includes 25 accessories for sanding, polishing, cutting and engraving work. This cordless multitool is a handy assistant for hobbyists, innovators and do-it-yourselfers who want to let their creativity run wild. The practical metal box of the Dremel Stylus Hobby Edition provides space not only for the tool, battery charger and accessories, but also for small work materials. This multifunction tool, for which there are over 150 different accessories and attachments, is particularly suitable for fine, detailed handicraft work and DIY projects. The Dremel Stylus is particularly lightweight, handy and powerful thanks to its 7.2 V lithium-ion battery. In its new Hobby packaging, the tool is an attractive gift for creative friends and relatives.

The Hobby Edition of the Dremel Stylus will be available for purchase at retail outlets from October 2008 onwards for 79.99 euros including VAT (recommended retail price).

Christmas promotions with the Dremel 300
The Dremel 300 Multitool will be available in two different versions until the end of December: the Dremel 300 Hobby Edition and the Dremel "Treasure Hunt" tool case. The multifunction tool is supplied in a practical zipper bag as part of the new Hobby series. In addition to the Dremel 300, this set includes a line and circle cutter attachment, two cutting bits and a 25-piece accessories set for a wide range of handicraft and DIY jobs.

The new "Treasure Hunt Set" is supplied in a spacious tool case and contains a large number of accessories in addition to the Dremel 300: the flexible shaft, the line and circle cutter attachment, a cutting guide attachment, the SpeedClic Starter Set, a 12-in-1 minitool and 79 other accessories. The set also contains a CD-ROM, which enables the customer to go on an online treasure hunt. The Hobby Edition of the Dremel 300 costs 49.99 euros, the Dremel Treasure Hunt case is available for 99.99 euros including VAT (recommended retail prices). This offer gives the customer an extra value of 20 euros and 37 euros respectively compared to purchasing the tool on its own. Both sets will be available at homecenters as Christmas promotions from September until the end of December 2008.
